MBC Detroit is staffed by resident doctors of the Authority Health Psychiatric Residency program. These residents provide care under the supervision of the program leadership, as well as a team of seasoned local psychiatrists and psychotherapists.

Dr. Kehinde Ayeni
Medical Director
Dr. Kehinde Ayeni, MD is the Medical Director of MBC Detroit. As Medical Director, she supervises the staff of resident doctors. When you reach out, Dr. Ayeni will be the first person you speak to. She will listen to your åneeds and help you find your best match for a therapist. Dr. Ayeni has a private psychiatric, psychotherapy and psychoanalytic practice in Farmington Hills, is on staff at Ascension Providence Rochester hospital and is a consultant psychiatrist at the Development Centers and All Well-Being Services in Detroit.
Dr. Ayeni is a graduate of the Wayne State University Psychiatry Residency Program and the Michigan Psychoanalytic Institute. She is an associate faculty member at the Michigan Psychoanalytic Institute and the Associate Program Director for the Authority Health Psychiatry Residency training program. Dr. Ayeni completed her medical degree at the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, Nigeria as well as a Fellowship of the West African College of Medicine in Preventive and Social Medicine.
Dr. Theadia L. Carey, MD, MS

Dr. Theadia L. Carey MD, MS, is certified in general psychiatry and addiction psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She also has an Addiction Medicine certification from the American Board of Addiction Medicine. Dr. Carey holds BS degrees in biological sciences and psychology from Wayne State University, in addition to an MD and an MS in psychiatry and behavioral neurosciences from Wayne State University School of Medicine.
